The beautiful thing about Lee Alexander McQueen is that he will never cease to be relevant. His work, his impact, continues to mystify us, as evidenced by the overwhelming love for the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibit.


For me, the fascination lies behind the darkness in his clothes. His collections are not just fashion. They are not just art. There is something more about them than just that. He managed to weave pain with beauty and romance.
 

"I find beauty in melancholy." How absolutely poignant is that sentence? It's incredible how darkness, solitude, and pain inspire such beautiful things.
