All hail, her highness Rihanna

Taylor Swift won the first ever Best Look Award at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards in Frankfurt on 11 November 2012. If you ask me, it's a tragedy. The Best Look award is supposed to celebrate the music star with the greatest style of the year, as voted for by you. I don't know who the 'you' was but it certainly is not me!

District MTV introduced the five shortlisted stars for the inaugural award, each with a very different look – Rihanna, Jack White, A$AP Rocky, Nicki Minaj and of course, Taylor. With the most votes overall, Ms Swift took the award.
