The Steve Madden launch

US shoe designer, Steve Madden's, stand alone shoe store opened its doors yesterday at Sandton City's Protea Court to a shoe loving crowd of media and fashionistas (*cue happy dance*). I had the great pleasure of attending the launch, and I can confirm that even if you suffer from just a mild shoe obsession, you will love the range of unique pairs of shoes by the popular designer!

The store offers women's shoes in all the latest trends - beautiful multi-coloured heels; leopard and snake print accents on wedges, chunky heels, platforms and brogues; coloured pumps with diamante detail on the heels; and sequined flats. There's also a small men's range with, amongst others, combat and ankle boots.

The prices? Yes, the all-important prices. They are quite reasonable with brogues and flats from R800, heels and wedges from R1000, and boots from R1300. With over two decades of being in the industry, and celeb fans like the Olsen twins, Adriana Lima, and Katy Perry, I am sure that Steve Madden will continue to have South Africans flocking to his store for his incredible heels.
