Touch down in London town

Yes, the Autumn 2012 edition of London Fashion Week is currently taking place in London and already I've seen some amazing collections from some of my favourite designers.

Christopher Bailey, Burberry's Chief Creative Officer, continues his incredible work at the historic company with an elegant collection filled with voluminous silhouettes and his usual creative twist on outerwear - in particular, the classic Burberry trench. Using a familiar neutral colour palette that echoes the Spring 2012 collection, slim shoulders and tailored jackets are juxtaposed with flared skirts in rich fabrics, like velvet and silk. The ornamental animal-detail clutches are cool addition to a collection that is sure to be a favourite.

If there's a beat of a drum that Mary Katranzou marches to, it is one that is all her own. Architecture-inspired shapes and bold, colourful prints abound in her Autumn 2012 collection that is unique, striking and extremely fluid, all at the same time. Compared to some of her previous collections, this one is more wearable, especially because her particular use of the structural silhouette in this collection is flattering. She does however continue to play with colours, exhibiting her famed prints (somewhat tribal this time) in sapphire, emerald and ruby.

I know of one Anna dello Russo who will love this collection. The last black dress here would look amazing on the red carpet. Also, how beautiful are the shoes? I love them.

Ah, Burberry, my love

My goodness. Christopher Bailey has done yet again. I could tell just how incredible the colour combinations in this Burberry Spring 2012 collection are. Or, just how beautiful the parkas, traditional trenches, and eclectic prints are, but I'll let the pictures do the talking. As you might have, I want them all! Behold -

London Town

London Fashion Week is always so fun, creative and super chic. These are some of my favourite Spring 2011 collections so far.

Henry Holland has such a bold aesthetic that is really hard not to love. From the show-stopping prints, to bright colours, plaid, python prints and knitted cardigans, I loved the entire collection!

Ah, Jaeger London, you beauty! Those stripped dresses, those sheer pieces, polka dot prints, and oversized glasses - such beautiful and elegant day wear. The styling is just so effortless - yes, I want the entire collection.

I must admit that Julien MacDonald's Spring 2011 collection reminded me quite a bit of Givenchy, but I was sold by the rock-and-roll glam feel of the collection, and its metallic elements. The prints again were incredible (I'm a huge prints, if you haven't gathered already!), and the figure-hugging elegant gowns were a highlight of the collection.

More to come soon.

London Town is calling

Highlights from London Fashion Week Autumn 2011

Burberry Prorsum

The bright colours of Spring translated into Christopher Bailey's Burberry Autumn 2011 collection which was evocative of 60's chic. Not only did he embrace shapes, but he also played with plaids, chunky wedges, fur, and an incredibly cool cow print on equally cool hats. I loved the transition between the different colours during the show. The light blue trench coat is a must-have! Christopher continues to dazzle us.

Matthew Williamson

Vibrant colours take centre stage in Matthew Williamson's collection inspired by Francisco Infante-Arana, a Russian avant-garde painter. The beautiful models were clad in all kinds of boho prints, fur, feathers and fringes. I've always been a fan of his aesthethic and his bold choices. Love it.

These are some lovely pics of super-stylish women at London Fashion Week by street style blogger Jason Jean of Citizen Couture. How beautiful are the DSquared2 skeleton heels? So, so chic.

burberryspring Burberry Spring 2011 | London Fashion Week

Christopher Bailey has done it yet again - the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection is absolutely stunning. Talk about slick, chic and super-sexy! Everything from the leopard prints, leather leggings, ruffles and brights, to the sexy take on the iconic trench coat, baby biker jackets, and the eight-inch heels was incredibly beautiful... I love the sexier, edgier Burberry.
