The Kings & Queens of Instagram #2

Of course, I am more than a tiny bit biased on A$AP Rocky - I basically live off Live.Love.A$AP. and Long.Live.A$AP. but his Instagram definitely tells the story of his fashion killa status. From Hood by Air to PYREX Vision and DKNY, to Raf Simons, Alexander Wang and Jeremy Scott, to all white/black ensembles and his bags of monochrome looks, A$AP Rocky will continue to be cited as a source of style. And he's reach extends beyond hip hop. If his ever-increasing magazine covers, fashion photo shoots, and appearances at fashion week are anything to go by, Rocky's on to something good.

He's not afraid to tell you either.  "All my videos are shitting on any Hip Hop video out there. Let's be honest. The reason why everybody is wearing gold again is because of your boy. Everybody's wearing diamonds. I'm the one who made the John Lennon shades with the glasses - everybody wearing it now, you see what's going on now," he tell LA Leakers. 

"Come on, who brought gold teeth back? Let's be honest... Honestly, I brought it back in a dramatic way. I made braids hot. Let's get off trends... But moving aside from the fact that I broke boundaries with not only that, but what other rapper is on the cover of Vogue?"

Now y'all can't never say I ain't put on to nice things. You see because the Pyrex Vision I'm about to introduce some of you to (I know, I know, the converted already know about it) is absolutely amazing. Let's begin, shall we:



But, firstly, what the f is PYREX VISION?

PYREX VISION is a clothing line by American designer Virgil Abloh eclectically inspired by the juxtaposition between the designer's own "high school experience" to "Pusha-T drug raps" to "Micheal Jordan as God", and my cheeky favourite "black kid with white tendencies". You see PYREX is bourne out of the self-taught Abloh's dedication to skateboarding and his his travels through Europe. What we get is a unique expression of the voice of the youth.

Now the man Abloh himself is already Kanye West's style advisor, creative director of Kanye (in)famous DONDA, and co-owner Chicago boutique, RSVP Gallery - he is no stranger to the cool. It's little wonder that PYREX is a favourite amongst entertainers and athletes. Everyone from Rita Ora to A$AP Rocky have been known to wear shorts or plaid shirts emblazoned with the bold PYREX logo.




What I have below is the PYREX VISION Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook delightfully entitled "Youth Always Wins". The collection A$AP Barri, A$AP Nast, A$AP Josh, A$AP Illz, Ian Connor and Nayle Junior. I am absolutely obsessed with the flannel shirts.
