'Swept Away'

Josh Olins captures Jourdan Dunn and Daria Strokous in some chic ladylike looks from the latest Spring collections in this editorial for the April issue of Vogue Japan. Sporting matching shot hair-cuts, Jourdan and Daria are clad in Marc Jacobs, Versace and Emilio Pucci, amongst others, as they get swept away by the cool tropical vibe.

I ♥ me some Burberry

It is absolutely freezing in Johannesburg right now, and looking at this super chic Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter '11/'12 ad campaign just makes me want to wear burnt colours and 60s style ensembles all winter long.

Just browsing through this Mario Testino-shot campaign shows that there's no doubting the effect the Burberry Autumn 2011 collection will have on Winter collections in 2012. Models Jourdan Dunn, Molly Smith, Cara Delevingne and Amber Anderson look amazing in the remade and updated classic Burberry trenches, and those hats are beautiful!

Burberry is just so steeped in history and I love seeing how they change and mix things up in each of their collections, whilse still keeping in touch with the famed Burberry aesthetic. They aren't known as the iconic British luxury brand for nothing.

High sea adventure

Jourdan Dunn and Karmen Pedaru don bright and vibrant island life pieces for Vogue UK's March editorial titled, "Ocean Colour Scene".

Lensed by Mario Testino and styled by Lucinda Chambers, the duo sport tribal themed pieces like saffron silks and peasant tops from the likes of Jil Sander, Yves Saint Laurent and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Make's me think of how much I'd love to soak up some sun too...

Back to black

I recently spent the weekend watching all the shows from New York, London, and Milan Fashion Week, and I have to say, the amount (or lack there-of) of black models is shocking! Seriously, you cannot tell me that there aren't plenty of talented young black girls, who could completely rock the catwalk. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't expect a complete overhaul of the fashion industry, but I'm pretty sure there are numerous black models, who could make many agencies a ton of money, just waiting to be discovered. With that said, I think we should all celebrate the current crop of young black models taking the fashion industry by storm. Jourdan Dunn, Sessilee Lopez, Chanel Iman and Arlenis Sosa are doing extremely well in an industry where 'one day you're in, and the next day you're out' [Heidi Klum voice].
Yours fashionably,
Zee
