Is Anna Dello Russo not killing the snakeskin trend in that first photo? Ah, want me some snakeskin!

The Dirty All Star Bash

Converse All Stars. You've gotta love them. They're a staple in models' wardrobes, and just about anybody really. Their versatility means that people with all kinds of style can wear them, and we've even seen Chuck Taylors peeping from beneath a star's red carpet look on occasion.

That's why I'm excited about attending The Dirty All Star Bash this Saturday. It mixes two of my favourite things - hip hop and the legendary Converse All Stars. Organised by Brown Bottle Entertainment and hip hop artists GP Gangsta, the Dirty All Star bash is a concert aimed at celebrating South African born and bred hip hop and kwaito artists, DJs, and All Stars themselves. The concert aims to gather as many people as possible, in one place, wearing All Stars in a celebration of the music of those whose lifestyle is shaped around the sneakers' rich history.

So if you're Joburg (Soweto) this weekend, and you're a lover of music and All Stars, and you have R40 to spare for the ticket at the door, be sure to attend the concert. You'll find the details of all the artists who'll be performing below. You know me now, I'll be there!

Hold that money right

I happen to love wallets. I also happen to love one-of-kind-pieces, so you can imagine my instant delight at these amazing cassette and paper wallets. Not only are the super-cool retro cassette wallets, by Italian designer Marcella Foschi, handmade, but they're also available in a range of colours and colour-combinations, from (amongt others) olive green, to black/yellow, and black/white/blue.

My favourite is this pink/lightblue wallet

This Greg Gossel's multi-layered design paper wallet is another one of my favourites.

These innovative paper wallets by young Argentinian brand, Confitte, are just as incredible. Each wallet, which is tearproof and water-resistant, is mediated by an artist, so each one really is like a little portable piece of art.

In his design of this wallet, French designer Maxime Francout was inspired by his love of hand-drawn fonts and illustrations.

This wallet's design is by independent visual artist Federico Lamas.

If you are a South African reader, you will very be happy to know that you can easily get your hands one of these babies by placing your order with Masego 'Maps' Maponyane by emailing him at spam_map@hotmail.com, or you could tweet him @S_Maps. Yes, there is nowhere else you can get these wallets in the country, and at just R200 for each of the cassette wallets, you've got no excuse not to own one of these!

Everybody's in Versace for H&M

The much-anticipated Versace for H&M collection launched in stores on November, 17, and incredibly, the range sold-out in 30 minutes at H&M's in Beijing and Dubai. It's not surprising really, with prizes ranging from just $17.95 for some crazily-printed men's underwear, to $200 for Anna Dello Russo's studded leather dress, and $750 for a floral printed men's bomber jacket.

The pieces below are some of my favourites from the collection, and don't you just love how Karen of Where Did U Get That is killing it in trousers from the men's collection? Talk about cross over appeal. I would, however, let the hype die down before buying any of these pieces - afterall, we can't all, at the same time, be clad in Versace for H&M!

This popular studded dress is the one designed by Anna Dello Russo for the collection

Orient express

Karlie Kloss has the midas touch. The fashion world just cannot get enough of the lanky 19-year-old, and why should they? She always manages to blow us away.

A case in point is this Alexi Lubomirski-shot Vogue Germany December 2011 editorial, where Karlie stars as an exotic goddess surrounded by lush flowers in oriental gardens.

The styling is fittingly opulent as Karlie dons loose silk pyjamas and luxurious knits, coupled with jewellery for days - from layers of pearls, to precious jewels. Everything from Lubormirski's stunning photography, to Karlie's rich make-up is perfect about this editorial. I love vintage elegance!
