Milk Teeth lookbook

So I've been loving the Milk Teeth clothing for some time and I got to model some of their lovely clothes. These are from Milk Teeth's Collection 5 lookbook. If you're in South Africa (particularly Jhb), do yourself a favour and check Q (the owner's) unique pieces from up-and-coming designers in Hong Kong, Beijing and Tokyo!

P.S. That's a very big smile on my face...

My first cover!

So the cat's out the bag now - I am one of the Edgars Active ambassadors and this is my very first cover! This is the PLAY magazine from last week Friday's The Star newspaper. I love the shot. Be on the lookout for our Edgars Unstoppable commercial on South African tv now. Happiness.

SAA + Nedbank launch the Voyager credit card

So the Big G has really been sprinkling my lane with luck dust. Last Friday I had the joy of attending a Nedbank and SAA Voyager sit down dinner in celebration of the launch of the SAA Voyager credit card at The Venue in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. MC Bonang Matheba took us around the world in a couple hours informing us of the very many benefits of the credit card.

Now this was not just an evening filled with information. No. (With a dress code titled 'fashionably loud', how could it be?). This was an evening filled with a) a fashion show that showcased the black-and-green story that was Gert-Johan Coetzee's collection at the recent SA Fashion Week, and Sylvester Falata's latest collection; b) gourmet food that was just delectable; c) music performances and appearances by recent South African Idols winner Khaya Mthethwa, and a dance set by Step Up dance reality show winners and all-around pioneers of effervescence, V.I.N.T.A.G.E Crew; and lest I forget, d) copious amounts of Moët darling.

Some of the pretty faces in the crowd included fashion journalist Noni Gasa, presenter Pearl Thusi, blogger Thithi Nteta, face of LEGiT Refilwe Modiselle, Lorna Maseko, Anele Mdoda, Tumisho Masha, Thulane Hadebe ++. Oh and, you can hate me later, but the goodie bag consisted of, you know, that little old champagne Veuve Cliquot encased in small pink Smeg-esque plastic fridge...

Puma Social Clubbin' it

Last week Friday, my buddy Neli and I hit up the PUMA Social Club at 81 De Korte street in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, for what promised to the end of an incredible night. Now if you've ever seen The Frown perform live, you'll have just a little sense of the awesomeness of that night. Add to the The Frown's amazing performance the cool sounds of Moejoe & Dr Khumalo and Shortstraw and you can imagine the kind of crazy dancing that ensued. Oh, and I vaguely remember emblazoning my name on one of those cool chalk boards they have...

As I've already intimated, the PUMA Social Club is going to be around for 6 months, but I can tell you that the queues to get into the venue can get super long, so you have to get there early to get your fun on. And of course, if you register online not only will you get into the venue for free, but your name will be at the door when you arrive.

Now, today's a Friday, so you already know that you have to be there if your the JHB. The line-up tonight includes:

Moe Joe and Minx
Tumi Molekane
Yesterday's Pupil
Matt Suttner

Killer? Killer!

So if you're keen for After Hours Athletes giving 75%, Ping Pong, The Running Man, Beer, Foosball, Pool, Beer Pong, Donkey Kong, Cute Girls, The Signature Fotobooth, Breakdancing, Breakdancing and Bbbeer - do best.

You wanna learn a thing or thirty about style? Look at the models. These women will show you how mixing staples with some really cool pieces will give you tons of style mileage. And this isn't that vintage riff raff, that dress crazy so you can get in the street style blogs, kinda dressing. No. This right here is personal style. Behold.

All black everything

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like us all to take a moment to ruminate on the beauty that is Brazilian supermodel, Isabeli Fontana... (before you start, that necklace is amazing. Ok. Go. Back to rumination).

Ok. I'll end the rumination right there for you and let you know that she is smoking!

Photographer Sergi Pons captures Ms Fontana as a seductress in all-black cut-out and sheer everything in this editorial for the latest issue of El Pais. And she has two kids - with that body - heaven help us... J'adore.
