What's hot right now

I tweeted earlier that online shopping gets me so, so excited. That and tralling all my favourite blogs is always the highlight of my day. I have about 5 stores in all of the malls in Johannesburg that I'd say are reliable in terms of the kind of style I have in mind. Other than that it's boutiques here and there, but mostly, it's all my favourite online shopping sites that have the kind of stuff that make me gasp. And spend. Naturally.

So what's on my "wish I had" list? These are the 5 items that I would probably faint or seriously hyperventilate if I got - I know, I take my fashion and style really seriously. Here we go:

Label whorish much? I promise - absolutely accidental.

After the party is the..

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Joburg 2013 (MBFWJ2013) is upon us ladies and gentlemen.
From the looks of the images online, the Avant show, in particular, blew every designer out of the water yesterday. I do have a feeling, however, that Suzaan Heyns will have something to say about that with her highly anticipated collection coming up tomorrow...

Speaking about tomorrow, the last day of MBJFW2013, what else is after the party that is fashion week than the after party? Now, the coolest of these parties is the one hosted by my buddy Yves Paris tomorrow at OST in Newtown, Johannesburg. Of course, I am unashamedly biased, but not only is the entertainment he has in store for you amazing; OST is right opposite the fashion week at Mary Fitzgerald Square - short walk to freedom?!

Much to look forward to, no?

From Before They Were Great

So yesterday I attended Adidas' launch of the “From Before They Were Great” exhibition in AREA3 at the Maboneng District in Johannesburg. The incredible exhibition is a snapshot into the diverse Joburg music culture evidenced through 5 of its best party nights - Thesis Social Jam, Pop Bottles, Griet, Warm Up Parties, and Party People. I literally looked through all of the pictures and its incredible how a single picture can absolutely capture the mood of a night. If you're interested in seeing the exhibition, it'll be on at AREA3 from 21 February to 4 April, from 10h00 to 16h00 Tuesday to Sunday.

But of last night - of course, the sounds of the likes of DJ Kenzhero and DJ Dimples kept me on the dance constantly dropping down and getting my eagle on. And the look - 90s something something. Big hair, don't care.

AMEN - church in the wild

This is undoubtedly my favourite shot by Envei Enygma from the recent Palulu Love fashion show I walked in. And child, the Tina Turner-ness going with the AMEN dress I wore - ♥.

This is another gem from my photoshoot with Yves. The vintage high waisted pants I'm wearing here were an absolute steal at less than a 100 bucks. I most definitely want to do a lot more shoots like this- be on the lookout!
